X-Rite Inc., which develops color measurement and management systems, software, and services, donated a new Ci7860 spectrophotometer for use in the AATCC lab. X-Rite has been an active corporate member of AATCC since 1994.

The company says the Ci7860 was specifically designed to minimize the contribution of inter-instrument agreement to color variation, ensuring the most accurate and consistent color control.

Instrumental color measurement is a critical component of AATCC’s work. The Ci7860 will be used for various projects related to test method development and quality control materials.

In addition, AATCC will use the spectrophotometer in demonstrations during workshops related to color management and measurement. It will be available to corporate members who visit the AATCC labs.

The donation is the latest addition to AATCC’s laboratory at its technical center in Research Triangle Park, N.C.
