在文献中会遇到body color具体含义是什么呢？
首先搜一下网上的解释，在（https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/body%20color）中：

吸光物质（如宝石）的本体因透射光而产生的物体颜色 – 反义词：表面色

也就是说它有：物体色、不透明色料、主体色 的意思
在《Billmeyer and Saltzman’s Principles of Color Technology, 4th edition》中对body color的定义是：
Color produced by absorption and scattering of light by colorants within a colored material, characterized by diffuse reflectance factor after accounting for any refractive index discontinuity at the material’s surface.
有色材料中着色剂对光的吸收和散射所产生的颜色，在考虑了材料表面的折射率并不不连续因素后，以漫反射因数为特征。
所以，这里body color的定义是着色剂产生的颜色因素，以“漫反射因数”或者说就是积分球仪仪器测得的物体反射率位特征。也就是说需要去除物体表面结构（纹理）带来的影响因素后的颜色要素。
在《色彩理想国 图说颜色的历史》中，bodycolor的定义为：
机体颜色（不透明色），至纯或未经稀释的色料或颜料所具有的不透明颜色；
所以同一个bodycolor在使用领域不同定义就有所不同，在日常生活中、颜色科学中和颜色艺术中都要加以区分理解
