The standard FM Hue chart has a scale maximum of 14. While this is suitable for most purposes, error scores for individuals with very poor hue discrimination may exceed 14 and will therefore extend beyond the graph.
The current scale maximum is shown in the Scaling Panel. The scale maximum can be changed by simply entering a new number into this box or by selecting Auto. When the Auto option is selected the scale maximum will be set automatically to the maximum error score for the current set of data. The scale maximum can be reset to the standard value (14) by selecting the Standard option.
The scale maximum must be in the range 4 to 50.
