The error score for each cap is calculated from the sum of the difference between the cap number and the numbers of the caps on either side. It is these error score which are plotted on the graphs.
Although there is normally no need to view the error scores individually, they can be displayed by clicking on the 
icon or selecting Error Scores from the View menu.
